Radosław Droń
Permanent conductor cooperation
He has been collaborating with the Silesian Philharmonic Henryk Mikołaj Górecki in Katowice since the 2022/2023 artistic season. He is a graduate of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, where he studied conducting under Professor Marek Pijarowski. He has develop his conducting skills through numerous masterclasses, including with Marin Alsop, George Tchitchinadze, Gabriel Chmura and Tadeusz Strugała.
In the 2017/2018 artistic season, he was selected by the National Institute of Music and Dance as a participant in the „Conductor-in-Residence” program, which led him to begin his collaboration with the Sudeten Philharmonic immediately after finishing his studies.
In June 2018, at the invitation of the Toruń Symphony Orchestra, he was selected for another edition of the „Conductor-in-Residence” program for the 2018/2019 artistic season.
Very positive collaboration with both institutions led to continued work as a regular guest conductor after the program’s conclusion. In 2019, together with the Sinfonia Baltica Symphony Orchestra, he recorded the album of Leszek Kułakowski’s original project „Komeda Variations” for jazz quintet and symphony orchestra, released by „For Tune Records.”
As an assistant and conductor, he has worked with maestros such as: Yaroslav Shemet, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Marek Pijarowski, Adam Klocek, Paweł Przytocki, Mariusz Smolij, Bartosz Żurakowski, Kai Bumann, Romuald Grimbert-Barré, Saleem Ashkar, Jan Miłosz Zarzycki, Christoph Titz, Piotr Orzechowski, Jarek Wist, Leszek Kułakowski, Aleksander Dębicz, Adam Makowicz, Betsy Cook Weber, and Daniel Abraham.
He has performed in Poland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and France. He has collaborated with the following orchestras: the Silesian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, the Silesian Chamber Orchestra, the National Forum of Music in Wrocław Symphony Orchestra, the Polish Baltic Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, the Sudeten Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, the Świętokrzyska Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, the Zielona Góra Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, the Toruń Symphony Orchestra, the Kalisz Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, the Łódź Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, the Sinfonia Baltica Symphony Orchestra in Słupsk, the Elbląg Chamber Orchestra, the Opole Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra della Magna Grecia, the American University Chamber Choir, the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Academy of Music in Wrocław, the Chamber Orchestra of the Chevalier de Saint-George, the Lower Silesian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra.
