In April the General Contractor – Mostostal Warszawa S.A. – continued demolition and earth works in the existing building ? deepened the basements for making the foundation membrane and started to make the reinforced concrete cores from the basement level. 
In the new building the partition walls were made, water and sewage and central heating installation works were continued and electrical system installation was started. A hoisting crane necessary to carry out further construction works was placed. 
Old foundations connected with a prior operation of the building were discovered during the demolition works at the ground level. The Silesian Provincial Conservator of Monuments was informed about the discovery. He made an inspection on April 18 2012 and suggested that an inventory should be taken. His recommendations were obeyed. 
On April 18 and April 25 2012 technical committees, with the participation of the General Contractor, the contract engineer and representatives of the investor and of the Marshal’s Office held their meetings at the construction site.
On April 18 2012 Mostostal Warszawa S.A. gave the investor an initial version of the updated schedule of the project construction works. 
At the beginning of April 2012 the most important attachements to the Annex to the agreement on co-financing of the project within the ”Infrastructure and Environment” Operational Programme 2007-2013 were agreed with the Implementing Authority for European Programmes. 
On April 26 2012 the Management Board of the Silesian Province approved a partial schedule of the project works and expenditure for the first three quarters of 2012 and on April 30 2012 a grant award agreement for the project was signed.
