In November 2013 the works of the General Contractor in the existing building comprised: the roof and the patio, internal plasters, gypsum finish, wall cladding, and painting; floors and horizontal insulation, ceilings, finishing works in staircases, door woodwork, external metalwork, elevations, décor elements. In the extended part the works comprised the roof works, floors and horizontal insulation, suspended ceilings, door woodwork, elevations, lifts and platforms, armchairs in the chamber music hall and the lighting installation. In both parts works on the heating, ventilation, chilled water and water supply and sewerage installations were continued. In the scope of low-voltage installations, the fire detection system (SSP), smoke protection, structural cabling, CCTV system, Access Control System and Audio-Video system were continued. The land development in terms of surfaces and lighting was continued, as well.
The total value of the basic construction works amounted to PLN 1,011,143.84 net. Furthermore, additional works pertaining to the smoke prevention system worth PLN 800,000.00 net were invoiced. By the end of November 2013 the material progress of the basic construction works of the General Contractor reached ca. 97.26%.
On 5 November the construction site was visited by the installation manager form Karl Schuke Berliner Orgelbauwerkstatt GmbH. After inspecting the construction site, he confirmed that the conditions for the installation of the organ, brought on 11 November in 4 containers by a group of 4 fitters, had been satisfied. The ready elements of the organ had been stored in a warehouse in Berlin. On the next day (12 November) the installation of the organ began, planned to be completed by 14 December. The construction of the organ casing was shown to journalists during a press conference on 28 November.
On 21 November in the Royal Castle in Warsaw a meeting summarizing the 11th Priority of the Operational Programme
was held, during which Minister Zdrojewski awarded the beneficiaries for the effective use of EU funds for culture. The award was collected by the project coordinator on behalf of Director Grażyna Szymborska.
On 26 November the construction site was visited by a representative of the Silesian Provincial Monuments Conservator in order to arrange the colours of the organ casing with the designer.
The Technical Supervision Office accepted the boiler room and lifts, i.e. the passenger lift and the passenger and goods lift and allowed to operate them.
