In May 2012 the general contractor – Mostostal Warszawa SA – continued construction (demolition and concrete reinforcement) works in the existing building. 
Reinforced concrete cores were led to the second floor level, the stage was dismantled and the seats in the concert hall were removed. Insulation works on the basement and ground floor level were started, and the walls and ceilings were strengthened (sprayed with concrete). Works on installation ducts were also started. Roof demolition works began. Construction of plaster-cardboard partition walls, and installation of the plumbing, central heating and electrical systems continued in the new building. 
Horizontal insulation in the garage was completed and works on the distribution board were started. 
On 16 and 30 May 2012 technical consultations were held on the construction site with the participation of the general contractor, the contract engineer and representatives of the investor and of the Marshal’s Office. 
In May 2012 the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage approved draft attachments to an annex no. 3 to a contract for co-financing the project from the European Regional Development Fund within the Infrastructure and Environment Operational Programme.
