At the construction site at 2 Sokolska street the General Contractor was executing the following works in the existing building: internal plasters, gypsum finish, wall facing and painting; floors and horizontal insulation; ceilings; in the staircases ? finishing works; door woodwork; elevations; in the extended part: suspended ceilings; door woodwork; lifts and platforms; lighting installations, in the transformer station: electric installations.
In the scope of the low voltage installations the works encompassed the fire signaling system; structured cabling; CCTV system; Access Control System; Audi-Video system. The total value of the construction works executed in August 2013 reached PLN 2,166,810.63 net. By the end of August 2013 the total material work progress of the General Contractor reached 79%.
On 4 August a 4-person technical team from the company of Karl Schuke Berliner Orgelbauwerkstatt GmbH arrived at the Silesian Philharmonic in order to verify the conditions of the installation of the organ. The representatives of Schuke recognized the conditions to be insufficient for the installation (particularly the parameters of humidity and dust and the missing freight lift) and cancelled the transport of ready elements of the organ set for 5 August 2013.
